pediatric allergist
Hi all!
i am looking for some advice on choosing a pediatric allergist. The dr doesn't have to do solely pediatrics, but I would like a good portion of the practice to be children. I am goign for food allergies.
I live in the great neck area, got suggestions from my ped, but i am just looking for some additional suggestions.

we see Dr. Mendelsohn in Garden City (ped ENT) and there are allergists in the practice!

We see Dr Bruce Edwards in Hicksville for food allergies. We are happy with him so far!

we take my son to dr. raphael strauss in westbury. he does adults and children, but it is very kid-friendly and the room are painted different themes with toys in them for your child to play with while you wait. my some has a peanut allergy and dr. strauss has been great. the staff there is also super nice.

We see dr Strauss also but at his Commack office. He has been amazing with my son and his multiple allergies.

We see Dr. Irene Peck in East Meadow. My daughter (6) thinks that she is the greatest. She is very sweet, informative, and really takes the time to explain everything to both the kids AND the parents!

We see Dr Weiss in Sysosset. We drive a great distance to see him. He is our 3rd allergist for our child and has done WONDERS for him! I HIGHLY recommend him.

We see him too and he is wonderful!!! DS is almost 6 years old and we have been seeing him since he was 6 months old for food/animal allergies. I highly recommend him!!
