How horrible is it that DD naps in the car...
everyday for both her naps
As I mentioned in other posts, although DD is the greatest thing, she is soo000 difficult sometimes, naptime being one of those times!
I tried everything & just gave up. Is it really bad for her to nap in her car seat?
Sometimes it's 2 - 45min to an hour naps. On the days, when it's it's 1 long nap, I transfer her into her crib. 1 or 2 naps usually depends on what time she wakes up. I think she's transitioning from 2 to 1 slowly. Is there any chance she will miraculously nap on her own some day or will I be wasting gas for the next 2 years

Can she nap in a stroller?
Mine will only nap in a car or stroller & it's easy to have a stroller inside (and not waste the gas). We have a cheap indoor stroller where he naps.
And... no... they never suddenly get easier to nap.
So with our second, we ONLY nap her in the crib.

Re: How horrible is it that DD naps in the car...
It's not horrible, but take it from someone who's son would only nap in the car or stroller until 3, stop it now if you can! I found that it only got more difficult to accommodate this napping situation the older he got.
Not sure if you plan on more kids anytime soon, but if and when you do, it will be difficult to coordinate driving your DD around while dealing with a newborn if they are on different schedules. To this day, at almost 4, my son will not take a nap in his bed or the couch or anywhere. But, he will fall asleep if we happen to take a car ride somewhere in the afternoon. It makes me feel horribly guilty, because I made him this way by not traning him to nap in his crib from early on. I know he still needs a nap, but with a 1yr old now too (who I made sure naps in her crib), I don't have the time to walk him around the neighborhood for his nap like I used to.
In the end, it isn't something that is going to cause harm to your DD, but I just wanted to share my story with you, so maybe you won't end up in the same situation, because it really stinks.

It's not horrible, but I have to think it's no good for you. You have to be able to live your life; you shouldn't be a slave to her naps and have to drive around aimlessly for 2 hours a day. I don't think you're hurting your daughter but it's hurting you!

True. This is probably why I feel like I'm going to go insane sometimes. It's pretty crazy when I think about it.
Sometimes it does work out to my benefit. She'll sleep on the way to a friends house (or wherever) I'll spend the day somewhere while she gets tired out & she'll nap on the way home.
Maybe when she completely transitions into 1 nap, I'll try to let her CIO in her crib again
I just can't bear to do it twice a day, she would probably cry herself into the second nap time she's so stubborn!
