At what age did DC start sitting in the front of a shopping cart?
DD is only 4 months so I know we have a little ways to go. I just need to know that there's an end in sight to having to get a sitter to go to the grocery store or surrounding DD's carseat with stuff at target!
Also, does anyone actually use those carts that have infant seats attached? I've seen them at Target but I've never seen them used. I know I'd be skeeved by them but it would be convenient.

It was probably around 5 or 6 months once she was able to sit up unassisted. I always brought clorox cleanup wipes and tried to clean off the entire area around the cart.

Probably about 8 months, but I usually had to prop her up with 2 rolls of paper towels. At about 10 months she was totally steady. I agree, it changed my life...hahahaha!
ETA: I always use my shopping cart cover. Carts totally skeeve me out!!

probably about 6 months or so
you could also try carrying them in a bjorn or some other type of carrier in the supermarket - that's what we did until he could sit up on his own.
i also bought one of those fabric cart seat covers to put in the cart each time to help pad the seat and give a little fun space for him to sit in
he loves it!

I started at 7 months and use the cart seat cover. But sometimes I forget it home and make sure to scrub his hands after as he is a thumb sucker!

I waited until around 9 months. Before that I would use the snap n go and some canvas bags. I just wouldn't buy a ton of stuff all at one time. And Peapod was a life saver for groceries.

my twins can sit up, but most carts only hold 1 baby. I have 2 mommy hooks attached to every stroller I use (they are actually just like mommy hooks but from harbor freight) that I either hook lots of re-useable bags to, or one of the cary baskets. The bags actually hold a lot more. I FILL all the bags and under the stroller and can get most of my grocery shopping done. I dont get the big things like paper towles etc, but it does work out.

I want to say sometime around 8-9 mos. Always used the big floppy shopping cart cover mainly because DS loves to lean forward and gum the pushing handle or suck on the excess strap. Also, it's soft and I'll throw a blankie in with him. When I shop u shop hard and he just passes out sometimes! I've also used the forthwith the seat attached. Once he was 6 mos.

Same, at 7 months. At the time, I used the seat cover, but at 21 months, it sits in my trunk more often than not

Probably around 5 months since DD started sitting unassited at 4.5 months. I used the shopping cart cover a few times but them it got to be more of a hassle to put it on. I just wipe her off when I take her out of the cart.
