16w old with 101 degree temp

Ds has been off and sniffly last few days and now his rectal temp is 101. I am taking him to doc in morning. In the meantime I got baby tylenol but on box says under 2yo ask doc. If over 2yo give 5ml. I asked pharmacist and he said 1ml is safe in meantime. Any btdt advice? Tia!

the tylenol you bought SHOULD be the new concentration levels, so it SHOULD BE the second column on the chart. PLEASE check the concentrate level on the box to what it says on the chart before giving it to your DS.

Also, him being so young, i would personally call the dr emergency line for your ped and double check about giving it to him first.

My DD is also 16 weeks and had a fever of 100.9 yesterday. The doctor said she could have 1/2 tsp of childrens tylenol to bring the fever down. It worked..Yay!

I'd still call your doctor just in case! Hope he is feeling better soon!

I don't know the dosage but, i don't think you should be using baby tylenol anymore. There were too many overdose issues and they changed it all over to children's tylenol.

Before giving any type of medication for a baby that young I would speak to your ped.

Prob too late but try a cool bath. Sometimes works and safer than medication.
