recommend your sturdy toy shopping cart
I took DD to once upon a treetop on Saturday and she was pushing a shopping cart there and actually taking steps!
I bought her a fisher price one and it's not sturdy enough for her to pull up on...it fell on top of her
Can someone recommend a good toy one?

but there are plenty of "walker" type toys that are made for kids to do that on... the shopping carts aren't 10% safe (well, nothing is... but you know)
my son had and loved this one:

We have a Little tykes one that's sturdy but, it would tip when DS was first starting to walk (unless I weighted it down with stuff). We had more success with walkers that the pp posted.

we have the step 2 little helpers grocery cart and its very sturdy. DD started learning how to walk pushing it all over the place. She still plays with it at 2 years old.

Re: recommend your sturdy toy shopping cart
We have the Melissa and Doug ones and a Little Tykes one. The Melissa and Doug ones are great----but I think I like the Little Tykes one better for a younger child. The M+D ones are super heavy and I could see a new waler tripping and falling into it and smashing their face. The Little Tykes one is super sturdy and my kids at 26mo still play w/ it daily. We got the one that resembles a cozy coupe so there's room for a doll or bear in the "car" part of the cart.
