Watching a movie/show on android tablet with no wi fi
Is there a way to do this? I have a netflix account but you need to be connected to wi fi. I do not have the ability to use a data plan on the tablet (this is a nook tablet that I converted into a android table with a sd card)
Is there a way to download movies/shows to watch without wi fi?

I think netflix always requires streaming. they never let you actually download the movies onto your machine, so no,not witout wifi. Don't all nooks have wifi?
you could download stuff from itunes maybe

you need to "rip" a dvd and then convert it to a file the tablet will see. You want to create an MP4 format file. There are plenty of kinds on the net to do this.
Youtube streams can be saved by putting the work "save" in front of the URL. This is a different website that convert the file to MP4. No true movies on youtube but older movies are broken into parts
I save files for DD all the time on her android tablet.
