Disney question?
We are looking to go to Disney mid March. Planning on going before spring break. I don't have extra money now to book the whole trip. But I see that I can get great airfare prices now. Have any of you not purchased a package to stay in Disney? Will I be able to purchase a hotel/food/resort package later on?

Re: Disney question?
Yes you can but you know it only cost $200 to book your package now? If you want a package I would book soon to ensure you get the category room/hotel you want. If you want trip insurance you can add that when you make final payment just remember to ask them not to include it or it is automatically added. Then you won't have to pay that now. The balance is due 45 days before you go.
You can also book separetely. You will have to pay the 1st nights stay at the time of booking then the remainder at check in. Tickets can be bought through disney, AAA, undercover tourist etc. But if you book separately you cannot add the dining plan without making it a package.

Re: Disney question?
we almost always book everything separate. We book the flight online, call Disney for the room- they a lot of times have unpublished offers and if you call and chat up the operator sometimes they upgrade you and then we get our discounted park tickets either from my aunt who can get the florida park rate or we buy them at AAA
the only thing is that sometimes they have that free dining and it makes it worth it to book together- that usually comes out for february

Re: Disney question?
I would book separately.
We went right after spring break and booked everything a few weeks prior. It was cheap and everything was available.
I think it is a whole different story if you plan on going peak time. When my kids are older and we are working around school vacations, I'm sure I will book way in advance.

Disney question?
I second the its only $200 info I put my deposit down nearly a half a year or more before my actual trip.
Another note, just more FYI than anything. Spring Break is different everywhere. As a person who lives in a major theme park attraction city, ALL of March and April are generally busy here. Going to Six Flags or Sea World is impossible! Even in the City itself we rotate spring breaks through the district. So 'after or before' spring break is relative.
