Recommend your highchair- not sure I'm crazy about the Chicco

I had registered for the Chicco poly high chair for DD. We put it together tonight and I'm not sure I'm crazy about it. My sisters Chicco had a spot to hold the tray when it's folded up. This one doesn't have that, unless I'm missing it. So where do I store the tray when folded up?Chat Icon

Does anyone have any recommendations for a new one and do you know if BRU will allow me to return it at this point? It was on my registry but not sure if there's a time limit.

TIA!

There is no spot to hold the tray anymore because those models were recalled a few months ago because of the possibility of injury when the tray isn't hanging on the pegs.

Do you still have the box? How long ago was it bought off of your registry? BRU can be picky with their refunds. You can always say there was a piece missing and see if they will refund you on a store credit.

Still have the box. My shower was in February. We just put it together tonight. Ugh! Wondering where everyone stores this huge tray.

I have a baby trend and a similar issue. They put the pegs on the insides of the legs so instead of gravity holding the tray in place, it leans into nothing and falls off! Chat Icon Some safety feature. I just put the tray on a dining room chair or leave it on the floor standing on an end when not using it.

If the shower was that long ago, I doubt that BRU will take it back. Do you know if buy buy baby sells the same one? If they do I would try to return it there, as they have an easier return policy.

Another poster said they moved the pegs, I didn't know that. I assumed they got rid of them all together because of the injury issue they had.

They will take it back up to 9 months after the baby is born...but the catch is after 90 days of purchase of the item, they will only give you the lowest selling price.

I am not sure about the BRU return policy, but we have the Fisher Price EZ Clean high chair and we love it. We have been using it for 10 months now and have had no problems.

I love my Fisher Price Rainforest Highchair. It comes with a toy that attaches to the tray, that keeps them busy while preparing dinner. :)

i have the same chair and love it as well. only down fall is that it takes up one of your dining chairs, not sure if that would be an issue for you.

BRU might give you a credit for the lowest sale price of the chair

i had the chico poly for my son and hated it- it was so hard to clean and the seat is not machine washable technically - and you can't get a second cover

i know have the fisher price ez celan and it is gret- to get an extra ccushion -you just orsder one from the mattel replacement part site - so easy - and great having tweo - cushion is machine washable and straps wash so easily

plus the chico cover does not fit in my dishwasher but the ez clean cover does

Thanks!! I didn't notice all the reviews about how difficult it is to clean. That alone makes me want to return it. Chat Icon

DH used to do something to get it in the car when we needed to bring it somewhere, he always said it was so easy, so there is a way lol

But, it really is a good highchair, and will last years since it comes with a booster
