Mommies whose dc didn't kno what to do with their feet while transitioning from rnp to crib
What did you do? Ds keep slicking his legs up as soon as I out him in the crib even if he's super tired or asleep.... As soon as I lay him in the crib, he wakes up and wants to play with his feet then he'll cry because he's tired and can't fall asleep.... It's so frustrating. Can any mommy please share what you did that helped your dc make this transition? TIA!!!

I had the same issue. At just I put a small blanket under her legs and put blankets under the end of the mattress to prop it up. In the end, I ended up putting her back n the rock and play because she just wasn't ready. I finally just of her in the crib two nights ago. She's almost 5 months old. She has no problems now.

I just let him cry it out. It was a tough couple of nights but we did it at my parents house when we had a few days off for vacation. He came home from there STTN, on his belly and not in the RnP.

Try a sleep sack. I use the cotton Halo one with dd. She will not fall asleep without it! Before using the sack I would find her legs sticking out of the crib and she would scream. She would also kick the crib and I guess hurt her foot. It became a routine now bc when I put the sack on, she knows it is bed time. I use it for naps too.

She was still swaddled so I put her in the crib swaddled and made a halo type effect with a towel under sheet to help her feel tighter. No matter what you do it's going to be a tough couple of nights, I think we were ok at night 3.

Re: Mommies whose dc didn't kno what to do with their feet while transitioning from rnp to crib
Thank u so much mommies. It's night 2 and ds fussed for about 15min at night and seemed ok but he refuses to nap in his crib in the afternoon. He would just cry for hours! Not sire if its because its still light coming in from the window or what.... I have the halo sleep sack but ds is getting too big for it and I can't seem to find a size L

How old is your son? Maybe he's just not ready? DS was in the RNP and SwaddleMe (just his arms) until about 6 months. When we tried transitioning him before that, his arms flailed and his legs stuck straight up. At 6 months, we quit the swaddle and the RNP cold turkey and he was fine from night 1! Good luck!!

Re: Mommies whose dc didn't kno what to do with their feet while transitioning from rnp to crib
Hes about 5 and a half months now. Its his 3rd night in the crib now and he seems to be ok now STTN at night. It's just during the last nap of the day, he's especially fussy about going down. But I guess now thinking a bit more, he was fussy too even napping in the rnp for his last nap....I'll see if A and A make a bigger sleep sack
