DD, nearly 3 has just been testing me on just about EVERYTHING! Kicking, hitting her sister, picking out her shirt, potty training Chat Icon ...Please tell me this is normal, and the "phase" passes soon.....

IS THIS TERRIBLE THREES?? and really how long does this last....Chat Icon

or is this really just the beginning of raising a sweet young lady Chat Icon

Re: what's with the stomping, yelling, rebelling @ 3?!?!

my son is 3 1/2 and is def in terrible threes

I think it really has to do w increased vocabulary. Its like a game w my DS. I try to reason and compromise (even if it isnt a compromise) and give him the choice..

Some days are better than others, but it is totally terrible threes. they are smarter too - and thats the danger!! haha

Good Luck

Potty training - we started w an M &M then went to a sticker chart - it totally worked for us ... we are doing a sticker chart for staying in his room (big boy bed) all night

we try all the tricks..

Yup, recently posted about this. Agree with above. 2's were easy, about 3 1/2 I cried a few times a week because he was so awful. Then he went back to his sweet self. I thought I was in the clear. No-go. Now he is 4 + and the horrific behavior is back. Completely irrational, whiny, hitting, tantrums about nothing! It is very draining.
