Tobay Beach - anyone been?
the spray park is amazing there are a couple of resturants and I think mini golf. You can sit on the beach side or the bay side. The bay side is where a lot of families go bc the water is calm. You have to be a town of oyster bay resident to get in or its about 30 something dollars to park during the week and the weekends they wont let you in.

Non residents M-F only and it's $40 to park. The spray park is amazing. Some families set up their chairs along the fence in the spray park. The beach area is great too. No waves. Shallow water. Kids trying to catch the little fish. ( bring a little net, they charge $4 at the beach) Two restaurants if you want to sit and eat. Mini golf. I love it. But only go once a week because I'm not a resident.

Is the bay side clean? I read that Zach's bay has one of the worst water qualities in the country. Wonder if this bay is similar.

Re: Tobay Beach - anyone been?
I am a resident and Tobay is my beach of choice -
Just know that the spray park is HUGE, and it gets very crowded. I find it difficult to keep track of my 2 boys there ....... it's awesome for them, not so much for me !!
the beach is nice too - not overly crowded. But I am not a fan of the bay side ......it's very still, very buggy and I thnk it's dirty -

I have been to Tobay beach to eat and this was a weekend and I didn't have to pay and I am NOT a resident... maybe after a certain time of day the rules change?

You can park for two hours if you are eating at the restaurant. I think they have you park to the left.

Re: Tobay Beach - anyone been?
Thanks! Is the sprinkler park easy to find? Anything else we should bring besides chairs and cooler with food/snacks/drinks?

Its easy to find, you can't miss it from the parking lot. Bring towels! We always forget and have to walk out with cold soggy children. A hat for LO because there is not a lot of shade
