When you go out without kids and DH is watching kids..
Do you get texts and/or calls asking when you are coming home? I always feel like I am rushed when out with friends or whatever because DH is alone with the kids. I am home with them all day, can I not enjoy some time to myself without the constant texts!!

DH does not contact me while I am out but he will ask me before I leave when I anticipate returning which makes me feel like I'm on a schedule and cant really have fun

yup....and sometimes if one or both are in cranky moods or acting up then the constant texting starts...so i know how it feels op....and im alone with them all day too, i literally never go out i think my last night out with a friend/s was like in april or may

but twice i came home to find my baby at my sister's house. he could not get her to stop crying, so knocked on her door and handed her my baby

Yes! He used to do this all the time! He would say go have fun, take a day off, and do whatever you want.......1 hour later he'll call me asking when i'm coming home and what i'm doing or he'll rush me along. We had a talk about it and how it made me feel like I really didn't have that me time. He gets it, and now I don't hear from him at all unless he has a question about something. It's really nice!

Never. If I am out with friends or even out shopping during the day by myself he never calls. But, it is a mutual understanding that I don't text him when he is out with friends. Now that I think about it, the last girls night I had, which was for a friends 30th last month, I came home at 1 AM and he called me a party pooper.

I go out, he won't text or call me.
To be fair I hate Texts. Why do we HAVE to be literally/digitally connected at all times? Why do we feel its so necessary, so vital so 'normal'. To me its not normal. I'm out, end of story. No need to call me 5 times, texting is frankly dangerous in all forms and the only use I see for it is a message TO me not a conversation. Faster than listening to vm but shouldnt really be that much of a two way.
But even without that, why would I check up on him? He's her father. Why wouldn't he be capable of caring for her. Same for me. We are a 50/50 family. There's nothing he can do better than me or me better than him. Equal in most things. Caring for AJ was always agreed a full hands on side by side job. But you don't NEED me and I don't NEED you to take care of her. I've left for days and he hasn't bothered me. I call to hear her voice. LOL He's left us alone for a day and its fine. Meh
ETA: LOL just realized the calling while I'm out thing.... goes back to me dating him. I HATED men who'd call a million time a day "Hey, whatcha doing?" Um working you bonehead, leave me alone. "I'm thinking of you" great, can I go pee now?  I LOATHE clingy men and cringe when I see clingy women. So for us it was always like this.

ALL THE TIME!!!!! I always feel rushed with all the phone calls i get from him!He's tired, the kids have been screaming the entire time. After the second call, i usually ignore him.

My DH is always good about me going out, but I do feel like I'm rushed at times. He does text me to ask when I'm coming home. I have to admit I do text him when he is out late asking when he is coming home. I only do this when it gets past 12am and only because I worry alot, and just want to make sure he is okay.
DH only text me now because we have a 4 month old. When it was just my 3 year old at home, he was fine.

Same unless it was unplanned like he watches the kids while I get milk. Then he rushes me back. Guess he needs to mentally prepare
