Liza, I hope you're okay.
So far, reports of tractor trailers blown off of I-80, roofs blown off and trees down in many areas. I have heard reports only from Elmira, Binghamton, northern PA and western NJ. All we can do is hope these storms lose intensity as they come closer.

Starting to get dark in midtown. Plants and furniture on the terrace are secured and we brought our hibiscus in. I don't want to loose any of the buds!

Holy crap...possibility for tonight!!
I love the coverage....I saw that it will hit my town at 8:04, I guess I'm safe until 8:03. I also saw hail described the size of HEN EGGS, I'm glad that's clarified, I was only protected for robin's eggs.

I hate storms. I just hope it's bad for one reason. I talked (no, coerced) my dh into leaving work earlier to get home ahead of the weather. I don't wanna look like the wife who cried storm!

The rain has officially hit Queens...it's pitch black outside with gusty winds and heavy rain...the thunder and lightning isn't fun either.

It happened so quickly! DH and I were in the backyard putting stuff away and it was overcast. We came inside for 10 minutes and looked out and it was so dark with these creepy looking clouds! Now it's raining and thundering.
