had the twins by 1030 pm- showered the next day in the afternoon- and only the afternoon because i was fatigued and not having the energy. i could have showered earlier if i wanted.

I had DS @ 2:13am and I showered fairly early the next morning, like 8am I think.

C sections -
First was not scheduled. Had him around midnight showered by probably 10 AM I was begging them to remove all of those tubes and let me move around.
Second was scheduled, had him around 9 AM, showered by .... No, I think they tortured me and made me wait until the next morning. I was miserable !! - I made them remove the catheter (spelling?) that evening, so I could pee myself, but I had to wait until the next day to remove everything else and shower.

Had a v-birth. My son was born at 12.47am and I was in the shower by 3am. I couldn't wait to rinse off and feel fresh!!! ETA, no epi so didn't have to wait for it to wear off or anything.

C section at 5pm, didn't get to my room until 11pm. I had magnesium drip and the whole thing so I didn't shower until early the 3rd morning.

Vbirth and with Ds took one like as soon as I was in my room, got dressed in comfy clothes and felt like a million bucks!

i think it was when my IV was out. had DS at 2:30am on Wednesday morning and my IV came out 24 hours later so i took it that evening, thursday i believe.
i had a c section

Shower after birth ?
2 vbirths, one at 9:10pm and one at 7:29pm and I showered the next morning - around 6 or 7am.

I had a vag delivery and basically once they finally unhooked me from the IV, I showered. I was sore as hell and it was super hard to shower but def doable. I delivered at SB and there was a chair in the shower to sit on which helped bc I couldn't stand for very long.

v-birth-after the IV was out. I had DD in the morning, I had a shower by that evening. I can't remember how long exactly.
same here! They wanted to keep my IV in "just in case" I was like....take it out!

with DD I had a vaginal birth and was able to shower after my IV was out the following morning (I was on antibiotics)
With DS I had a c/s and also showered the following morning. I had a rough afternoon/evening after my section coming off the anesthesia, and I had to wait until the catheter was out which they removed the following morning. I was determined to shower before DD came up to visit, I didn't want her to see me looking the way I did.

V birth with both -
DS was born at 9:32 in the morning, took a shower when they took IV out at 11
DD was born at midnight and I took a shower that morning.
BEST showers of my life!!!

Shower after birth ?
LOL about 4 days later. i was drugged up on morphine and magnesium on day 1 and 2 and couldnt get out of bed. on day 3 i got a sponge bath and they let me out of bed to go to the NICU. by day 4 i was able to shower myself.
i had a really traumatic birth and c-section though so obviously this isnt the norm!!

V-birth 3 times. Same thing, all 3 early AM deliveries, showered by late afternoon/early evening. even though my crotch was on FIRE, it felt so good to get clean, it helped me relax.
