If you have 2+ kids and attend a birthday party, do you give 1 gift or 2?
We have a new good friend and they are throwing a bday party for their 2yo. They just recently moved to a new house. This is not a housewarming party but it is the first time they are having a party at their house. They just moved a few weeks ago.
I'd like to get them a decent gift.
Should I give the girl 1 very nice gift from our 2 boys or 2 separate gifts from each child?
Or should I buy them a nice adult housewarming gift and 2 regular toy gifts (1 from each kid)?

If both of my kids are invited to a party I spend more than I would if only one child were invited to the party. I usually spend about double what I would spend on one child. As for the housewarming I generally give gift cards to home depot, lowes, or bed bath and beyond. I found them the most useful for myself when we moved and I always receive extremely thankful cards when I give them to others.

Personally I would give one gift from the two kids - the thought of giving two gifts would never even cross my mind. I also would never expect separate gifts from friends with two kids - I would think it was odd.
I think a small gift is fine for a housewarming gift. When is the party? Do you have time to order something like this? Home Canvas

Both boys are invited. They are a family friend. DH is friends with the dad. I am friends with the mom. We had a joint party for my 2 boys (their birthdays are 1 day apart) and she brought 2 gifts (1 for each child).

One gift from both boys - a nice big gift and a gift for their home.
I know this since my DD and boys are constantly invited to a bday party for a child.
I also have twins- so yes. they celebrate a bday they each get one gift but when going to A bday party for one person, we give ONE gift for that child. I tend to spend more on it from both.

definitely one gift addressed from "the blank (my last name) family" not technically from each one of my dc's ......never even thought of buying two actually....but interesting that other people might....and then i would buy a separate very small housewarming gift

Totally totally different - you have 2 kids whose birthday you were celebrating. Of course she needed to bring each kid a gift. I would just get one bigger gift from both if you feel you need to spend a decent amount because she had to buy two gifts, but I think buying two separate gifts is just odd.
