Shower after birth ?
How long after you gave birth did you shower? Please include if you had c-section or vbirth. TIA !!

v-birth-after the IV was out. I had DD in the morning, I had a shower by that evening. I can't remember how long exactly.

A little more than a day. Had DD on Fri night, was on IV for all of Sat, showered Sun morning.

I had my csection around 9 am and my IV and catheter came out after 24 hrs. and thats when thry said I could shower.

Same here, but also had a catheter due to an internal laceration.

I had a v birth
Had her late afternoon and I showered the next morning- mid morning-= after the IV was out.

Vbirth. Had DS at 9 AM on a Sunday, they removed my IV in the middle of the night, showered Monday morning.

My iv was never in for more than an hour after delivery. I wonder why. Anyway, with Ds1 I didn't.take a shower until I was home on day 3. I had a terrible delivery and was a disaster that could barely shift positions let alone walk. With ds2 I walked around the nursery about half an hour after delivering. I took a shower right after my family left a few hours after I gave birth.

1st- Vaginal and 2hrs later BEST.SHOWER.EVER.
2nd- C-section and it was 24 hrs later. It was much rougher, but not as bad as I thought. Getting ready for the shower and getting put together after was way worse IMHO.
The shower its self felt great and was an awesome pain reliever for me after bith births!

Had him Friday night at 9:23 pm. I had to have Mg drip for 24 hours because of a spike in BP, so I didn't get the IV or catheter out until 11 pm Saturday night. I took a shower first thing Sunday morning, after I ate! The nurses did give me a sponge bath  Saturday afternoon and changed the bedding. I had a c/s.
