Babysitter/mothers helper...
What is the going rate per hour just to watch the kids at home or at a party, no housework or anything like that.

I think it depends on how many kids and age of kids. But when I was talking with a friend who was willing to be a mother's helper for me she said she would charge me $10 per hour. I have 3 kids, DS is 4 and twin DDs are 15 months. That may have been a "friend" discount though, I don't know.
