Do I need a robe?
I am having a c-section at Winthrop on Wednesday ... do I need to bring a robe? I have the basic toiletries.

Do I need a robe?
I've never had a c-section, but I didn't bring a robe for either of my births. I stayed in my hospital gown for the first day and then changed into yoga pants and a t-shirt/nursing tank.

Re: Do I need a robe?
i wore a cardigan when i was cold, so something if you are chilly but it doesn't need to be a robe per se

Re: Do I need a robe?
i did and i was glad. ended up being there for 5 days because DD lost too much weight and she couldnt leave. never hurts to have one with you or at the very least have one ready to be picked up if you need it.
ETA DD was born in January, different if your DC is born it warm months

Re: Do I need a robe?
I would bring some kind of extra layer that you are comfy with. I had a c section and stayed in my hospital gown and then nightgown (easier for then to check incision). I had the robe on and off depending on my hormones fluctuating and the AC (I had DS in July). Good to have something.

Re: Do I need a robe?
I never wore a robe after my c section. The first day I wore a hospital gown and after that, loose pj pants and a t shirt. If I was cold I wore a sweatshirt.

Re: Do I need a robe?
I had a c-section and tried breast feeding my little guy, who ended up in the NICU with glucose issues, so I walked from my room to the NICU about 15 times a day.
I LIVED in my robe!!!! I would definitely suggest you bring one.
After a c-section, you have to walk a LOT, so I think it helps.
Good luck!!!!!!!
