Looking at 2nd carseat Graco My Ride vs Titan Elite
We're traveling for the first time by plane with DS in August and are looking to purchase a 2nd carseat for use on the plane and to end up in DH's car. Considered the Cosco Scenera but they seem just a little too bare bones and the weight limit is low. We are thinking of getting something that we can also get good use as a second seat for DH's car. So far, I think it's between getting a Graco My Ride 65 or the Evenflo Titan Elite. Was looking at the Saftey First Complete Air but ruled it out. We currently use the Britax Advocate CS in my vehicle. DS is 22 months and rear facing, and I would like to keep him that way as long as possible. DS is also a peanut, around 22-23 pounds and probably 5th percentile for weight and height. After doing some shopping and a little research, I think it makes sense to get a 2nd seat that we can get some good use out of.
Please let me know your opinions on these seats, and of course maybe any other options I may have missed. The salesperson at BRU also suggested the Graco 3-in-1 booster, but I am thinking that my DS may still be too small for this type of seat right now, and, based on his small stature, I am thinking he will be able to get long use out of his convertible seats. Researching booster seats here it seems that the recommendations are 4 years and 40 pounds. My DS is a lightweight!

I have an Evenflo Triumph LX. We like it so much we bought 2 others. DS is super comfy in it and gives us no problems.
We needed 3 so I didn't want to go expensive and we wanted ones that would fit in the car and still be able to sit in the front seat comfortable.
We also had bought the my ride 65 and it didn't fit in the cars without the front seat up far.

We are looking at the Titan based on price, it's about $50 less than the Triumph and My Ride.

BRU had the Triumph on sale when I bought it....it was 119 for the one that is BRU expclusive color. You can also use a 20% off coupon on it.
so at 149 with a coupon you would pay about 119

If you're going to keep him RF for any amount of time beyond 2, go for the MyRide. He'll be more comfy and the seat is perfect for extended rear facers. It's also a bit easier to install RF than the Titan is. If you're looking for it for a travel seat, however, the Scenera and Titan are my primary choices because they're so lightweight and inexpensive. Walmart has both under $40. I would not want to drag the MyRide, Triumph or any of the Britax seats through an airport, but that is just me. My only suggestion is if you get a cheaper seat, practice installing it since there's a learning curve on those seats. Since your child is so lightweight, you need to look more at harness heights than weight limits. A 40lb limit seat may serve you just as well as a 65lb limit seat if the harnesses are the same.
Also, the Titan and Scenera both fit well on airplane seats and install easier.
