I call her bluff (I did at the beginning).... I do not believe one word this poster says.
If you ar so concerned about your kid's safety why would you continue to post throughout the whole ordeal. Any sane person would think, let me update my cyber-friends at a later date.
Go ahead.... respond to me, I don't care
Sorry but I completely agree. I don't care who believes this poster, I don't, and I wanted to present the reasons why for anyone else who was skeptical like me.
I agree. Who in their right mind, what parent, would keep their child in that environment for even a second longer than need be? that is just crazy. I would have called in sick to work and raised holy hell.
Its also quite funny how all these "new" details keep popping up. I think it is ********. And God forbid it is not( which I will not hold my breath waiting for this center to close down), I pray that all those invovled are dealt with.
As for the poster, if you are fake, you are one sick sick human being.

Nope, I don't buy any of it. Anytime a poster "remembers" details hours after posting, I call shenanigans on.
And posters like this should be banned for just starting this controversy.

This part occurs to me as well.
I get finding out at 8am that your kid's day care blows chunks.
I don't understand getting 5 months worth of new information in 2 hours, while at work, all on the same day. YOu had time to speak to 3 teachers, 4 parents, call other day cares, get to work, WORK at this job that you cannot take time off from to find said new day care, and post that novel on LIF? Then I hand you my crown of being the super multi-tasker of America.
And yes, it's my crown.
Further, her pregnancy post mirrors my own with my DD.... pnp, period was a week late (as opposed to due in a week) and when I finally got to the doctor (2 weeks later) I was 5 or 6 weeks pregnant... not 12. I didn't do well in math when I was in school but I can count..
Then again, if a post has an alarming and rambling tone right out of the gate, my BS meter goes up anyway.

LB I 100% agree with you and also find it very odd and not believable. I was just trying show another post that's all, and see if maybe it made sense to anybody else. You, and many other on here can smell a troll a mile away so I don't tend to 2nd guess you

Not that I have seen and I live in the area. I *thought* I had it figured out but I am really not sure.
If anyone knows for sure, would you mind FMing me?

Re: Well this is interesting.
holy shit
i posted several times on the previous thread because i just couldn't believe that someone would be so casual about their kid (or other people's kids)being in that situation.
Kudos to those who figured out that something wasn't adding up!
on a side note.. WHY on earth would someone do that? are they on a vendetta against the daycare? are they trying to get sympathy for themselves?

Maybe she had something against the owner of the daycare center and that's why she made all this stuff up!

WOW this is crazy!!! She had some major free time in the last few days! In her original post she wrote something about her husband couldn't take off and now he was magically working from home i personally think she was a disgruntled worker.

Thank you. I did. She will be put in pre-k. For now my Dh is working from home. The rest of the summer is going to be a day by day type of thing, but at least she is out of there.
I just wish the childcare council had been more informative, they said they would look into it. They aren't going to find much just because it's all heresy and stuff that had happened a long time ago. There haven't been any new going-ons in a few months, aside from the yelling at the kids. If you called the STATE, they have an obligation to investigate allegations within a certain amount of days. The child care council does nothing.
http://www.ocfs.state.ny.us/main/childcare/safety.asp
I also worked in various daycares as a seit and I swore off all larger daycares for my own children when I saw first-hand what was happening. I saw a kid cry for 90min during my sessions with NO response from an adult. When I told them about the situation they told me that the child was new. Umm yea so maybe be nurturing and supportive of the child I saw them smile and hug children in front of parents and then yell at them to go sit on the rug and leave them alone, just seconds later when the parents walked out. There was little stimulation and continuos movies playing. They had toys set up around the room but most of the pieces were missing making them unusable. When children would play house there would be one little person for all of them to share. Or one pan to cook with in the kitchen with 15-20 children. Of course there was tons of behavior problems. I hated going and I reported them. Well when they were investigated they put on the same show that they put on for the parents. They had there teachers prepare special activities and programs for their big day. It was disgusting.

reading all this makes me sick. This is exactly why I quit my job to care for my son. I trust NOONE but myself!

This is seriously making me doubt my decision of sending my younger son to preschool this fall at 18 months!
My son's preschool has tons and tons of activities and programs.
The kids generally look very happy and I've never witnessed or heard of any type of abuse/neglect.

Re: Well this is interesting.
I don't know what the original post was, but I will say this.... As someone who has observed and provided services in countless daycare settings, you MUST do your research. Observe at different times, different classes, whatever yo need to do before sending your child. My son went to 2 big daycare centers. The first was from 8 weeks to 20 months. His infant teachers were phenomenal!!! I dropped in at all times. Things went to shit when he was 15 mts old, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. I observed, spoke to supervisors, and when things didn't improve, I moved him to kindercare. LOVED that place!!!! They were amazing! He stayed there until preschool this past year. Daycare centers are like any other business. Some are incredible, some should be shut down. But they can be incredible experiences for your children!!!!

Ughhh... I guess everyone loves drama...... My kid goes there and I am sick to my stomach from this and was already looking to switch later this year as I don't want my kid near that room/lady. There has been stuff irking me about the current room, but because my kid liked their friends and part of the teachers. How did I find this center - recommendations from LIF girls!!!Plus they don't really have violations on the state site, and affordable, so I was sold. It was great when my kid was in the infant room.

What you need to understand about the playground offense.....the center is in a strip of stores. The fence is only 3 feet high. They don't place a lock on the fence.... We've seen teenagers who hang out around there hop the fence into the playground.... We've seen a crazy guy who talks to himself bike ride down the sidewalk infront of it....
