Name Lauren
My sister's name is Laura. When DH put the name Lauren on the list for our DD I felt it reminded me of my sister's name too much. Does this make sense?

I see where you are coming from, however, to me, Laura and Lauren are two completely different names. My DD is Lauren and I don't really have a nickname for her, and I would never consider calling her Laura. We actually had both Laura and Lauren on our final list to pick from.
