Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?

I have 3 kids: 6,5 and 15 months and I will never wear a 1 piece, not any time soon anyway. I wore bikini's pg with #3.

I am in shape, but I am in the processing of getting to my goal.

I do have some stretch marks under by belly button but they are white and you really can't see them.

I wear bikinis and I'm actually in better shape then ever before.

After gaining almost 50lbs with both pregnancies, THANKFULLY I didn't get any stretch marks.

My DDs are 4 1/2 yo & 22mo.

I have a 19 month old and a 2 month old and both times I have bounced right back. My belly is 90% back to what it was. No dieting or exercising. I have no stretch marks either, I don't necessarily believe they are genetic because my mom has them and I don't.

After DS#1, I was wearing a bikini 4 months pp.

After DS#2, I decided to switch to one piece bathing suits. I am back to my pre pregnancy weight but think my bikini days are over.

No bikini wearing here!! I just had my second DS 3 months ago and I have alot to lose.

I gained alot with DS #1, but did get back to my pre-pregnancy weight after 2 years. I still wasn't ready to wear a bikini. I only have a little stretch marks on my sides. I was not able to get my stomach flat again. I still had a little bump.

i had twins and i was back in a bikini in 4 weeks. went to vegas @ 10 weeks and sported two pieces the whole time.

im def not what i was pp- i am a little "softer" but im still proud of what I have, softness and all, as the softness was from two human beings being inside! :)

i was also very lucky- no stretch marks

i haven't worn a bikini in about 4 years Chat Icon

i had a bit of a belly before DS was born, and now that he's 9 months old, i still feel like i look pregnant!

So, no, won't be wearing a bikini anytime soon. Tankini's are my friends for now!

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?

I'm 8 months post-partum and was back to my pre-pregnancy weight within a month and am below that weight now. Unfortuanately my tummy does not have the same tone as before I had the baby and my b00bs have definitely changed from bfing so I don't feel comfortable enough wearing any of my bikinis. I am now on a search for the perfect one-piece and have bought 4 so far this Summer Chat Icon If I can get my tummy toned by next year I will definitely wear a bikini again (even at my advanced age Chat Icon)

ETA: I didn't get any stretch marks and only gained 20 lbs.

I do. DD is 22 months and I've worn nothing but bikinis before and after she was born. I have a few stretch marks, but they have since faded. I went down to post-baby weight about 6 weeks after giving birth. Prior to getting pregnant, I was diligent about working out so that helped a lot and I continued to stay active during my pregnancy. Am I at my idea - no - but I'm okay with that.

Re: Any moms out there brave enough to wear a bikini?

I wore one after #1 but not #2.

I did lose all of my weight, no stretch marks, and since I exercise now, I am in decent shape.

I wear a one piece now, mostly because I just feel more comfortable with more coverage. Part of it is the tone of my abdomen, which is not as firm. Part of it is that I am vigilant with covering up from the sun since I had melanoma 3x and basal cell carcinoma once. More skin covered is less skin I have to worry about burning.

I wore bikinis prepregnancy.

My DD is 3 months and I wore a bikini the other day. No stretch marks but I still have my belly line. I'd say I could have gotten away with a bikini at 6 weeks PP

Never a stretch mark, DC are 6 and under. After DC1 bounced back with no effort. After that, I am at pre pregnancy weight with mild flab - jiggles and rock a bikini Chat Icon

#1 I see people in bikinis daily who ought to not be in one...

#2 DH wouldn't have it any other way and says I look good...
