Are your BH contractions A LOT worse during your 2nd pregnancy?

I had a lot of these contractions during my first pregnancy but not this severe. I am 34 weeks and I get them throughout the day but in the evening they are constant. Sometimes I have to run to my couch constantly to sit down because I cant breath. I feel like my stomach is contracting non stop every evening. My DH gets freaked out because we are not prepared yet! My OB said these contractions can be stronger during your 2nd pregnancy. What is your experience? Thanks!

Yes!! During my second pregnancy it was stronger and started earlier in the pregnancy than it did the first time. They were also more frequent.

Thanks! I feel like these contractions mirror the ones I had when I was in labor the first time! My real contractions were not terrible though when I was induced before the EPI. I am hoping this means I will be early because the BH are annoying because I cant breath!!!!!!!

OOH!!!!! This would explain it. Sunday night I had some contractions and they got to 6 minutes apart for 30 minutes, then got further apart. They were stronger than BH last PG, but nothing to be too freaked out over. KWIM? I ahd some other symptoms going on, so I went to the OB in the morning to just check everything out. All I kept saying was that they appeared to be BH, but stronger. This would make sense as I'm 29 weeks.

I dont remember having them the first time around was such a breeze. This time is a different story!

yes and they started early, at around 16 weeks, with my first they started around 27 w .
now at 30 weeks they are so painful and so strong, my OB says it's ok as long as I don't get more than 5 or 6 per hour , also drink lots of water when you get them a lot.

yes! With my 1st, i had bh's but i barely even realized it because there were almost not noticeable.

with my 2nd... definitely noticeable and started happening around the 20 week mark.

with #1- went into labor with no warning signs.
with #2- had BH's and REAL contractions since 34 weeks and had him at 38 weeks. I would wake up in the middle of the night with them and a few times i thought i was in labor because they hurt so much.
