Re: C-Section or Vbac?
I am hoping for a VBAC. But my doctors told me that if this baby is anywhere near my first's weight that I will not be given a choice. (He was over 11 pounds.)

Re: C-Section or Vbac?
In my situation, my Doctor advised against attempting a VBAC. So C-Section it is.

Re: C-Section or Vbac?
many doctors will sadly advise against vbacs for malpractice reasons. they'll give you excuses like 'you have big babies' which is usually not a factor (unless you have a narrow pelvis) because woman have pushed out 10lbs+ babies without having csections.
i'll be trying to a vbac this time no questions about it. my birth plan in very detailed with the least amount of medical interventions necessary.

Re: C-Section or Vbac?
I am not pregnant again but I will likely choose to have a csection the second time aroun. My first baby was over 10 1/2 lbs and after trying to push him out for over three hours, I made zero progress. If for some miracle my second child is measuring significantly smaller than my first I would consider a VBAC but I doubt it. IMO the decision really should depend on your reasons for having the Csection in the first place and whether or not it is likely to be an issue the second time around. For example, if I had a csection because my baby was breech but everything else was normal, I would consider a vbac for the second if the baby was in position. Not sure if my logic makes any sense. lol.

Re: C-Section or Vbac?
repeat c-section (unfortunately I am not a good candidate for a vbac)
