As long as he can be adequately secured, I see no reason to wait. The seat reclines so far back that you don't have to worry about them sitting up. And they do sell those snuggler things for infants, if you wanted to make him a little more secure.

DD is 12 weeks and we've been using it from the beginning (beginning being about 5 weeks when we took her for some leisurely walks outside). We use one of these and it cradles her head and body.

When we started using it she was in full recline.

thanks...I was hesitant about the inserts...I feel like they make him so warm...I am using the Graco Snugfit with snap and go for walks and I feel like he is sweating in it due to the velour fabric..

I will take a look..

I had the same problem last year which is why I switched to the citimini at like 10 weeks or so. DS was always really tall so he fit fine in it at that time.

I just started using mine and he is a little over 4 months. I just make sure it's reclined enough so he is comfy. He is 16.5 lbs, so he's not a small baby, but still seems so tiny in it!

I'm having the same issue with the Chicco. My 3-week-old DD sweats so much when we go for a walk. The other day, she had sweated all the way through the back of her onesie...and I've been going out with her in the morning, before it's too hot.

It fully reclines. DS was 3 months and only 10 lbs. He was so tiny, but he was fine.
