Fever and threw up medicine
DD has a fever and we gave her Advil and she immediately threw up. Can I give her more right away, or do I need to wait 6 hours still?
Called ped yesterday and she said just give her Advil unless her fever is over 105, but since she vomited, do you think I should call the ped again? Her fever was 102.8 this morning (she is 13 months).

Didn't know you can give them Advil at this age.
I would call the doctor again, we aren't doctors so they would give you the better advice.
But would think with a temp that high, that I would be giving motrin.

Thanks. It's infant Advil. She just went back to sleep, so I guess I will reassess when she wakes up.

Advil and Motrin are the same thing.. Just different brands. You can give both over 6 months. If she is sleeping, I would wait and try Tylenol when she wakes up.

I was just saying I didn't know they made it for children.
In the meantime, since she is sleeping, why don't you call the doctor and see what they say about her vomiting the medicine up and if it is safe for her to have it again when she wakes
