Travel with a 2 Year Old

We are renting a house in August for a week and I am trying to figure out where my 2 year old can sleep.

At home, she is still in a crib but I think she is too big for a pack n play. On the other hand, I feel like she still needs to be contained....especially in a strange place.

What have others done with their 2 year olds on vacation?

Re: Travel with a 2 Year Old

When we took our then 23 month old DS to Florida where we stayed with family, we rented a crib. We used his sheets, etc from home. This way DS was in a sort of familiar space for naps and bedtime, and was safe. We actually did this both times we went to FL, at 17 and 23 months. Try doing a search and you'll find places that rent things for babies/toddlers.

Thank you! I was able to find a rental place nearby. Appreciate it!

Re: Travel with a 2 Year Old

my daughter is average height and 24, now 25 months. Last month she slept in a pnp on a cruise for 8 nights and next she'll be using our pnp for our montauk trip. rather that than have her learn to roam around a strange place in the middle of the night! she is still in a crib at home.

My daughter is tall for her age so she would be pretty cramped in the pnp. I also cant trust her to stay on a bed; I know she would constantly get up and wander around.

My 7 month old will also be using the pnp so I needed to find another options anyway!

My kids usually just sleep in bed with me when we go on holiday...I sleep in one tiny corner of a King while my two kids invade the rest like starfish.
