how many bottles does your 1 yr old drink a day?
Gavin is down to 3 but im wondering if i should get rid of his afternoon bottle.
he has a morning milk bottle at 7 and an evening one at 8. he has a sippy of milk with dinner.
is that enough? can i nix the afternoon milk bottle?

At one ds had 3 cups of milk a day- morning, lunch and dinner. Now at 20.5 months he typically only has 2 cups a day- morning and dinner, but has only dropped the afternoon one within the past month or so.

He has 3. Morning, lunch and before bed. He also has a sippy with water/juice with breakfast and dinner.

3 Bottles
Morning: 8 ounces
Afternoon: 5-8 ounces
Night: 7 ounces
She also has a sippy cup with water in it with all three meals.

Wow... my son is 10 months and drinks 2 bottles a day and has been skipping his afternoon bottle for a few months now, with the okay from the doc as long as he has yogurt. We followed his cues on making that decision when, after he ate his cereal and fruit/veggie, he had no interest in the midday bottles.
Right now, my DS drinks about 7oz in the morning and about 9oz at bedtime. Then he has about 2-3oz mixed into his cereal in the morning, about 1 1/2 hours after his morning bottle.

And too much milk can lead to Iron Deficiency Anemia

Maybe 12 oz a day total. 3 bottles of 4 oz. she's not crazy about milk most days.

DD gets 3 six oz bottles a day. Morning, afternoon and night. My ped told me no more than 20 oz a day of milk.

DD drinks 8-9 oz in the AM and about 4 oz at night. She was drinking more, but I just stopped the bottle this week and she doesn't finish the last cup at night.
She drinks water throughout the day.
Ped told me 16-24 oz/day.
I make sure she has yogurt and cheeses.

DS has one bottle of milk at night before bed (about 7 oz). During the day he drinks milk and water from a straw cup. He doesn't drink a crazy amount (but he's starting to get better). So I try and supplement with dairy type foods during the day. I get worried that he could get dehydrated sometimes, especially when its hot so I just keep offering him his cup.

DD will be 1 in 2 weeks and she has 2 8oz bottles a day. She doesn't always finish one bottle though. But she drinks 3-6oz of water throughout the day as well.

She has one before bed..she gets milk in a cup all day basically (offered periodically) and water at mealtimes, except breakfast, when she gets milk

At 12 mo we dropped his afternoon bottle, he had 8-9 oz in the morning and 8 to 9 before bed of milk

My granddaughters ped said no more than 20-24 oz per day. Too much milk is not good. Can't remember why.
