for dds 1st and 2nd bday, My sister went to Oodles of Doodles in Merrick and got her personalized baby doll high chair for 1st, and a matching cradle for her 2nd. They are adorable and wood. So much nicer than plastic toys and dd loves them.

Girl - pretty open about budget. And yes, first birthday.
The Anywhere Chair is on my top 3 list. I want to get her something special and unique. I got my other niece a personalized rocking chair, but this niece already has one.

sil had a muppet made for dd from fao shwartz! she got to pick out all the features and its a real muppet you can move and make 'talk.' very very cute and special, especially since we are 'muppet lovers' in this family!  Make your own muppet!!!
