Facebook Timeline- Change your e-mail back to YOURS.
Attn all Facebook Timeline Victims.
This week Facebook changed YOUR email to a Facebook e-mail on your timeline.
What that means if someone clicks on your profile and wants to e-mail you at your personal address (if you have it open to everyone) they will NOT see YOUR address. They will see [email protected]. This can be good if you don't want people to know your e-mail.
There is no security risk. Just an FYI that your friends wont have access to e-mail you at your personal address.
Its an easy fix.
1. Go to your page.
2. Click on "Update Info" its just below your BIG picture on the top of your timeline.
3. On the right side, scroll down to "contact info" then click "Edit".
4. At the top of the box is the email section. All you have to do click "Show on timeline" for YOUR e-mail and you must click "Hidden from timeline" on the Facebook.com email.
5. SAVE changed at the bottom of that box.
That is all you have to do!

Re: Facebook Timeline- Change your e-mail back to YOURS.
Im going to delete since I didn't have my email address listed anyway.
But, if someone sent me an email to the @facebook address, where would this go?

They changed my default e-mail to the one I had marked as alternative. So annoying.

I have timeline but my default email never changed from my primary. It does have the facebook one as a backup though.
