Only sort of pregnancy related question...hair

OK...

After my wedding in 08 I chopped my hair off from my mid back to just below my chin.
It's taken me over 3 years to grow it back and now that i'm expecting, i'm thinking of cutting it shorter again (make it easier to do and more comfy for the summer)...like shoulder or so...right now its a few inches from my waist.

Should I grow a pair and do it? Can't decide!

I personally did the same thing after my wedding and loved my shorter hair but i found it to be more work cause i HAD to blow it out. It took me a year to grow my hair back. For me i have no desire to cut it again. I love long hair its easy to throw up in a pony tail. I dont have to blow it dry if i dont want to. Especially in this weather weve had the last 2 days... Its been up in a bun you cant do thst with short hair...
And by short hair do you mean a bob or a pixie? I had a bob.
And i dont know if you should nake big decisions when preggos lol

What made you spend 3 years growing it back instead of just keeping it short?

I agree with the PP, sometimes short hair can be more work! Maybe leave it long enough so you can put it up for the heat and when you don't feel like doing it.

i would actually wait until AFTER the summer to chop it off....itll be much easier to put it up in a pony tail when it is hot then have it on your neck/shoulders

i wouldn't do it. wait until after the summer and if you still feel the same, cut it, bt not short enough where you can't put it in a ponytail if you want to

I'm partial to long hair on most women, at least up till a certain age. BUT if you like short hair on you (I don't really care for it on me) then go for it. As several pp's mentioned though, I'd probably try to leave it long enough to at least get into a small ponytail just to get it up in the heat or if you don't have time for styling. I hardly ever had time to style my hair once I had a baby and I used to be the type to blow my hair out daily. If I couldn't do a quick ponytail I'd be in trouble.

I have long hair too. Its down to my lower back and I am thinking of getting it cut to about shoulder length. Long enough to still put up but short enough where it isn't a PIA.
I have about 5 weeks left in my pregnancy and decided to wait until after babes is here and I can give myself a full beauty day.

In regards to you, maybe if you really feel the urge for a cut you can cut just below the shoulders. Its a change and nothing too drastic. If your happy w/it, you have the option to go a few more inches or not.

thanks ladies...def wouldn't do it so short where i couldn't put it up...that would just be asking for trouble

i had really long hair too and then just got sick of it and cut it to my collar bone area along with some layers to give it some life. I like it because I can still put it up. I think if its a length where you can still put it up then go for it.
