For DS just the one. For DD I took two because AFTER I bought the package I realized that it was expired. So I went out the next day and got another non expired one. Had CVS sold me non-expired pregnancy tests it would have been just the one.

I only took one extra that was digital. DH wasn't sure of the lines on the first so I took a digital.

I got a line on a FRER test initially one evening, the line was a little light so i confirmed with a digital not the day after, but the following am after that

I took like 3 the first day and then 2 every day for about 4 days after that, until first doctor appt. I kept checking to make sure the BFP wasn't going to go away. I'd say I went a lil overboard

the next day i took a digital.
since i was seein a re i didnt see the need to test again

A LOT!!!
I bought the internet cheapies, and I took at LEAST one a day for at least two weeks. Then every few days I would take another one. The last one I took was on the morning of my first sono, which was at 8 weeks.
After having a chemical, seeing the lines darken gave me comfort, since with the chemical the lines would get darker, then lighter, then disappear.
ETA - I'm totally neurotic. I know what I did was extreme.

I only took 2. Unfortunately I knew from prior experience that I could take 9308038585 pregnancy tests and that still doesn't mean everything is ok with the pregnancy
