My crib CD player was a LIFESAVER. Whoever said "Music hath the power to soothe the savage beast" definitely met my DD as a newborn. She'd be mid-scream, hear the Beatles, and calm right down. It was amazing lol.

I have the fisher price rainforest waterfall peekaboo soother in my DS crib and it definitely helped him sleep as a newborn. Now he's 15 months and when he wakes up he presses the on button to listen and watch it light up. Im defnitely getting one for baby #2's crib.

We registered for the Sleep Sheep which is basically a stuffed sheep that makes soothing sounds and can be attached to the side of the crib. We also have a CD player for the nursery and DH ordered a lullaby CD. Hopefully at least one of those does the trick!

Do you have plans for music in the nursery?
I have the tiny love mobile that has a remote. I also down loaded a bunch of baby music CDs on an old iPod that I will keep in the babes room. I registered for a sound machine but haven't gotten it yet. I'm kinda thinking at his stage I won't need it.

We have both and they are freaking AMAZING! My ds can not sleep without his sheep!
