Newborn Sleeping Question

I plan to have the bassinet in my bedroom but DH sets an alarm that goes off like 5 am what do I do when he returns to work?

How did you ladies manage?

Re: Newborn Sleeping Question

Have him get a vibrating alarm to put under his pillow.

Re: Newborn Sleeping Question

how long do you plan on having the baby sleep in the bedroom? My DH has an alarm that goes off every morning as well, and it doesn't wake my LO. He's only 2 weeks - but usually newborns can sleep through a lot.

Or use the vibrate feature on his phone. DH still does this.

Re: Newborn Sleeping Question

My newborn doesn't wake with dh's alarm. And it's a loud annoying one too lol. You have to get them used to noises anyway so that thy don't become light sleepers.

Re: Newborn Sleeping Question

You'll probably be up feeding the baby at that hour anyway... and every hour... for a while...

I can count on one hand the number of times DD hasn't awakened us well before DH's alarm since she was born. And she's 17 months.

A nb will definitely sleep through the alarm. We had DD in our room until she was over 9 months old and she always woke us up, and we never woke her up.
