FB and family - How do you tell
random relatives that you're pg?
I have 3 cousins that, if not for FB, I wouldn't have spoken to in years. When I was pg with DD, I emailed them to let them know. One of them got engaged last year and I found out b/c he changed his status. Super mature for a 40 year-old. 
We're "coming out" on FB next week. Do I email them beforehand or just let them let them read the announcement?

Let them find out on FB. I did for much of my extended family and did not feel bad about it.

I agree with this. Dont feel bad about them finding out through FB if you really aren't that close with them anyway.

I sent a mass private message thru Facebook to all relatives a couple of days before making the announcement public to all my FB friends on my wall.

I never announced anything on FB. I dont have a super close family so it wasn't a big deal to me if they knew or not. With our friends, we chose to take a Sunday and tell our closest friends in person. Ppl just found out through word of mouth after that.

let then find out on FB. My cousin just posted a sonogram on FB that said she was expecting. That's pretty much how my whole family knew (besides her parents/siblings). But it didn't offend me. I haven't even told her that I'm pregnant yet!
