What to do to schedule IUI?
So I have an appt. tomorrow for a follie growth check and BW because as of this morning I still had not gotten a + OPK. I knew that it was due any time now, so I tested this afternoon and its + for LH surge. But now Dr. office is closed. Should I just have hubby drop off his deposit in the morning and assume they can get me in early for IUI, or wait and schedule it for Wednesday? Just dont wanna miss the egg drop. Hubby is usually gone for work by 6am, so I can't wait to call and make appt. because if they say wait til Wednesday, that will be 2 days he goes to work late, and his job is just not that accomodating.
Thanks for your help.

I don't have any experience with IUIs but for you! Can you call the emergency line?

Re: What to do to schedule IUI?
i wouldn't just have him go and drop off a sample without making an appointment first. is there a phone number you can call while they are closed? most RE's are open 7 days a week, even if they close early some days, i'm surprised yours doesn' thave at least a receptionist to answer calls and pass on urgent messages.
either way, lots of luck!

Re: What to do to schedule IUI?
I would wait until Wed. I never surged on my own, but when I would get my trigger shot at night, I would go in two days later for the IUI.

Re: What to do to schedule IUI?
My RE always does the IUI the day after a positive OPK.. I would definitely call first thing in the morning.

Re: What to do to schedule IUI?
Thanks for your advice. I was just barely surging last night (generic stick picked it up, but the first response did not), and the surge was much more positive (+ on first response) this morning, so we scheduled IUI for tomorrow AM. I didn't want to call emergency line, I think it will work out ok.
The past two times my OPK stick was negative, but my BW was + for surge and we did IUI next day, so maybe this little change will get me a BFP..fingers crossed.

Re: What to do to schedule IUI?
I have done iuis Without trigger & they should be done the day after positive opk. I agree I would call first thing in the AM & have DH go in--I'm sure they'll fit you in & you don't want to miss your window! Good luck!

Re: What to do to schedule IUI?
At my RE they wanted you to use your OPK in the morning and in the evening. If you got a postive in the morning they would schedule you in for the next day. If you got a positive in the evening my DH would drop off his sample the next morning and I would just have to call in for an appt.

Re: What to do to schedule IUI?
Well we did the IUI today, I am not overly hopeful though because sperm count was low this time. (my fault because I jumped hubby the night before last ) Didn't think it would affect his count so much, but that PLUS him being tired didn't help. So we will again to back up the IUI, and who knows, maybe magic will happen, but I am not feeling it!
Thanks all for the advice.
