Nap Nanny Necessity?

Do you think a Nap Nanny is necessary when Ive got the bouncer/vibrating seat, swing, pack and play with bassinet and a bassinet that a friend gave me...

Is the Nap Nanny good to also have? Or is that just more of the same thing? Is it over kill and not worth it at this point with all the other stuff I have?

Im trying to buy things I didnt receive off my registry but also dont have $ to burn if something really isnt needed. I still have to buy some big items so if I can save some $ on non-necessities then I would like to.

Re: Nap Nanny Necessity?

The nap nanny is SUPER expensive and can only be used on the floor under supervision, not in a crib or pack n play because babies were rolling off it and suffocating. If the baby has reflux, the FP rock n play is a great alternative because it is safety tested and approved for use as a sleeping bassinet (unlike a bouncer or a swing). It's a similar shape to the nap nanny. And probably 1/3 the price.

A lot of baby items you just won't know if you need them until you meet the baby.

FTM here- so I don't know for sure.. but a couple of my friends have them and love them, so I registered for one. Although, they def made it clear that as soon as the baby is strong enough to roll over on their own, that it's time to ditch it.

I registered for one. Some family swears by it and said it was great for their babies.

I registered for one (and looks like someone purchased it) but I have the rock and play so i'm not sure if both are necessary. I will see- I may just return it for something else I need.

I liked the rock and play much better so I brought the nap nanny back.

Re: Nap Nanny Necessity?

We bought one and only used it a few times. I wouldn't buy it right away to see if you really need it.

Or buy a used one if you want...you can always buy a new cover for it.

I will sell mine if you really want one. CHEAP

I'm not a mommy yet but my sister in law loved her nap nanny for my nieces. Once they grew out of the bouncer she used it all the time for their naps.

me too. And frankly, it scares me. DD napped in her swing, bassinet or carseat. We never even used the bouncy seat. This was before the Rock n play came out, but from what I read on here, that is the new must have!
