Bottle sterilizer?
Is this necessary if you have a dishwasher with a sanitize function? I don't want to register for anything that we don't really need.

no I just boiled my bottles for the first time use then I just wash in hot water

We did the same. I always boil the bottles and parts the first time then hand wash or run them through the dish washer after uses.
That said, I'm considering getting the Dr. Brown's microwave sterilizer this time because I've read that it makes cleaning the parts a lot faster and easier. But I wouldn't get something like that until you know exactly which bottles you'll be using (we started with the playtex drop ins then the ventaires but switched to Dr. Brown's at 3 m. We'll see what this baby likes! I was reading reviews on amazon and people are saying that the microwave sterilizer basically does the cleaning for you (not sure how much I believe that, but I like the idea lol). But I didn't have one with DD and we never had any problems.
