Gift recommendations for a 5yo girl?

Our new neighbor invited us to her DD's birthday party. We just moved in 2 months ago so we don't know them well.

Can you recommend a gift for a 5yo?
What is an appropriate dollar amount to spend? I was thinking around $50.

Have not been to any 5yo parties yet. They also have a 10yo daughter and an 8yo son.

Re: Gift recommendations for a 5yo girl?

My daughter turns 5 next month.

Amongst other things, I have gotten her some of the Lego Friends sets. They're geared towards older kids (some sets more specifically for girls) I think age 5-10ish...I think my DD is going to love them. I found them cheapest on Amazon. She loves Legos but the ones we have are definitely too young for her.

I got her the veterinary set. LINK

They also have a tree house set, beauty salon, etc.

My DD is 5 and loves the things mentioned about (Lego Friends & Littlest Pet Shop) she also loves crafty things. $50 sounds like a lot to spend. We normally spend approx. $30 on gifts for her friends.

DD is 5. I would spend 20-25 - I think 50 is too much Chat Icon

DD loves anything crafty. She got this which can be found at Target for Christmas and LOVED it - I think I actually need to get her another one Chat Icon

I just got one for a party we have tomorrow along with fancy (bright, metallic, etc) crayons and a barbie doll.

I wasn't sure how much I should spend. I want to be friendly with our neighbors. They live right next door to us.

I usually spend $15-20 on classmates (people we don't know well at all) and around $50 for friends where we are friends with the parents.

I just want to get something that the 5yo will like.
