Today was sad (NPR)

I had posted recently my grandma passed away unexpectedly 3 weeks ago. For my dd first year my grandmother watched her everyday while I was in Grad School. I didnt plan on having anymore children so I didnt save a thing. My Uncles have been cleaning out my grandma's room and closets and found TONS of Cadence's baby clothes and she saved all of her clothes. And she saved her burp clothes that she had made for her. It is hard to Believe she will not be here when baby girl #2 comes but that the fact that she saved everything is amazing. Its as if she knew.

She probably did know. Grandmas are amazing that way!

I lost my grandmother just a few months before my wedding. The last day we spoke (the day before she died) she kept telling me she was going to be at our wedding whether we invite her or not. I kept saying "of course we'll invite you, Nana!!" -- but she knew we wouldn't be able to.

It totally makes me cry every time I think about it still.

All that love you and your Grandma shared will remain with you and your daughters forever. Have you thought about naming #2 after her in some way?

We will be naming #2 after my grandma... Her name will be Aida Jordyn. My grandma was Aida Luz but my dd is Cadence Luz so we used a different middle name for #2
