Skin cancer and pregnant...should I be concerned?

Hi - just found out a mole I had biopsied recently is a basal cell skin cancer (very common form from what I understand).
I am seeing my OB a week from tomorrow....ok to let him know about this then or do I need to be concerned that I'm pregnant and have this? Should I call him and let him know now?
I'm going back to dermatologist next week for a "scrape and burn" to make sure they got it all out.

It's on my leg - just above my knee.

Let me know what you think.
TIA!

i think its ok to wait till next week to let the OB know, as long as the Derm said its safe to do the surgery... I myself have skin problems (lots of mole biopsies and surgeries afterward) so I feel your pain, it sucks. Good luck on the procedure!

I have no advice.. but i would call your dr before you do the scrape and burn..
I think they will have to give you a local anasthetic which you may want to clear with your ob.

how did they do a biopsy ? did they numb you before scraping any of it?

Im super fair skinned and have a mole that's getting checked out next week, Im so nervous about it.

I had very bad basal cell carcinoma when I was pregnant. I had MOHS surgery done on my face (a 10 hour procedure Chat Icon ) and I also did the freeze and burn one. With MOHS surgery, which is pretty extensive, I was just not allowed to have ephinephrine during surgery... With the scraping one, it was totally fine... Both my ob and derm. said it was fine to do... FM me if you have questions!!

Yes I was numbed up before they biopsied the mole...it's totally safe to do while pregnant. Good luck at your appt next week!
