outdoor concert at 34 weeks, yay or nay?

So tickets for Florence & the Machine go on sale this Friday for a show at Jones Beach on Saturday Sept 15th (which happens to be our 5th wedding anniversary too!), I absolutely love them and really want to go.....but I'm wondering if I'd be pushing it at 34 weeks w/ an outdoor concert, when it could be hot, rainy etc. I know I could stay in my seat if I'm tired, but you never know if the crowd all stands up I might have to as well just to see!

I'm 34 weeks pregnant right now and I think I could handle a concert at Jones Beach.

I am going to see DMB @ Jones Beach when I am 34 wks. I dont think it will be a big deal. I just plan on bringing shade for me to sit under (we are tailgating w/friends b/f the show) and tons of water. The only thing that might be a PIA is the bathroom situation but we are going to park as close to the bathrooms as possible (and bring my own roll of TP).

I think you'd be fine. I think I read somewhere that when going to concerts or other loud events during pregnancy to sit away from the speakers, so not too close to the front. Other than that, if u feel up to it you might as well go and have fun! And if you buy the tickets and then don't feel up to it when the time comes, you could probably just sell them.

I was also thinking that at least it's sold through Live Nation so I can pick my exact seats and make sure I'm on the aisle just in case I have to pee a lot!! Chat Icon

I think it'll depend on the weather. If it's 95 and humid, it won't be fun to be there pregnant. If it's 65 degrees, it'll be fabulous!

It sounds like a lot of fun! There are seats there anyway, so you can always sit! Go!!!

I would totally get tickets. There's not much that could keep me away from a concert. And in the end, like you said, if you can't go or decide you don't want to, there's always stubhub!

I wanted to go see DMB at Jones Beach this year but DH was against it. He was scared of the crowds and the loud noise of screaming fans/of the music (for DD). I personally, would feel totally OK with going but I just didn't want to go alone and DH said NAY.

I say, if you feel OK, are going with someone and especially (like at jones beach) have your own seat and don't have to stand the entire time in a mosh pit.... then YAY!
