After 64 days...
In the NICU my son Nicholas Paul is finally coming home either tomorrow or Tuesday. We've had a long hard road. With many tears along the way, but so happy he is healthy and doing so well! He was born at 2lbs 15oz and in the last 2 months he has gained over 4lbs to now be at 7lbs 1oz! I can't believe it! It has definitely been very hard on me because I haven't felt like a "real" mom yet, but I know that will all change when he gets home here! It is also very hard on me because I had to return to work on May 1st but I will be off for the summer in another month. Hopefully I can make it! Thank you for all the prayers, I really appreciate it!

That is great news!! So happy for you! You are so strong! Our son was in the NICU for 41 days and it was so hard. You will look back on those 64 days and will realize if you can survive the NICU you can survive anything.

awww congrats!!! and that is amazing weight gain!!! my DD was born at 3lbs 8oz and at 2 months old was 6 lbs 8oz!! congrats mommy, your baby is coming home!!

Thank you everyone. I'm thinking he's coming home tomorrow. I have to call the hospital on my lunch break to find out definitely when, but any day this week is fine with me that so I actually get to spend my first mother's day with my baby boy at home and not have to spend it sitting in the hospital!
