Enfacement?
What does it mean when your at the end and the doctor tells you your enfaced by a certain percentage?
Went to doctor yesterday and i'm dialated 1 centimeter, but she didn't mention enfacement and i'm not even sure exactly what it means? anyone know?

Your cervix has to thin out to bring on labor. The percentage is how much it has thinned out. I have not had an internal so I don't know how much progress I've made. I dont even know if my doc does them

I agree with PP. Its the thinning out of the cervix. At my first internal I was 1-2cm and 80% effaced. Your cervix has to be 100% effaced in order to give birth.

Yep. I had my first internal yesterday @ 37 weeks and I'm 90% effaced 1 cm dilated plus he mentioned my floating stage but I cant remember what he said  I was in shock that I even dilated even tho its only 1cm.

Wow, does that mean you'll be going into labor soon?
I guesss i'm 0% enfaced since doctor didn't say anything.
