Iphone4s Battery life
Realistically, if you are using the phone how long should the battery last? This is my 1st smartphone and the battery is horrible!
I got the phone at 11am yesterday it was charged at 60% when I got it, I drained the battery and charged it to 100% at around 3pm. By 7pm it had 2% battery life left. Charged it to 100% again used it for about 1/2 hour last night, turned it off for the night at 88% been using it this am and it is down to 75% already. Is this normal?

You need to make sure that your apps aren't running in the background, because if they are they will deplete your battery to zero that quickly.
(Double click your home button to see what apps are running, then if you hold one of them down (in the bar of running apps) you will get the red circle in the corners to shut them down)

No. I had another smart phone that was like that and something was wrong. My iPhone 4s will stay charged for the whole day, obviously if you are on it all day and have tons of apps open and everything that will make it dead sooner but this sounds like something is wrong, I would take it to get checked out.

Re: Iphone4s Battery life
I charge mine usually once a day with moderate use. I use the internet with mine a lot and that eats up the battery life pretty quickly. My DH showed me that if you close out the apps you're not using that helps with the battery life a bit (by double clicking the button on the bottom of the screen all your open apps will be displayed, then hold down the ones you want to close until a red X appears). The first day I had my phone I couldn't believe how fast my battery was dying, but then DH showed me it was because I had pretty much opened every single app in trying to get to know the phone and they were all using the battery because they continue to run in the background unless you fully close them out from the bottom of the screen.

I do make sure the apps aren't running by double clicking the home button. I have also done some research and turned things off such as the time zone locator, I turned off a lot of notifications and set my fetch to manual. I think I am going to take it to the apple store because it seems to drain quickly even when on sleep mode and apps closed.

Re: Iphone4s Battery life
I charge my phone every night so it's 100% in the morning when I leave for work. By the time I go to bed, it's usually about 30%. And I use it reasonably often enough to play games, listen to music, google something, make calls, etc.
ETA: If all that stuff is closed, there is definitely something wrong with the battery. I heard that about the iPhone 4S at first, but I've never experienced it. Apple is god though, I'm sure they'll fix it or replace it.

Re: Iphone4s Battery life
So funny Bc I got my 4s sunday and this is one of the first things I said. My battery drains very fast. I close out each aPp too. Right now it's at 32% and woke up this morning with it fully charged at 100%. I did stick it I the charger at around 4pm otherwise by now it would have been less than 20%. I don't know is this is normal.

That's funny because all I have ever heard from iPhone owners is how much BETTER the battery life is than the other smart phones.
Not that my Droid is any better. The battery life SUCKSSSS! But then again it's a much bigger phone, bigger screen, more apps, etc- than my old blackberry so I kind of chalk it up to that. It's like running a laptop!
