Also, I always find it interesting when the majority viewpoint in the poll is different from the majority viewpoint in the comments. What is that about?

I think a lot of times it's possible that the majority's opinion has already been expressed in the thread, so instead of having 150 "likes" or "ITAs," they just vote in the poll.
Who knows---but that's my guess!

It's anonymous to just vote, but it's out in the open if you comment. For many types of polls, people prefer to stay anonymous.
