Re: reusable keurig filter
Are you packing it in tight enough? I also find that I need to use the lowest setting to really get it strong.

Re: reusable keurig filter
pack it in !! I fill it up about 3/4 of the way and tap it with a spoon (I put the filter part in the gray part first) that usually brings it down to about a 1/2 then I fill up the rest and tap it a bit again.
I typically use Maxwell house Master blend and it makes (to me) a great cup of coffee !!

Re: reusable keurig filter
OK...I did try packing it the second time - it was better, but still weak. Tomorrow morning I will try to super pack it!
I really want to give up my pod addiction.

Re: reusable keurig filter
It always tastes delish to me, much better than the costly Kcups.
I recently picked up some coffee at Starbucks and had them grind it for me and have been packing it with that. So good!!

Re: reusable keurig filter
What coffee are you using? Maybe switch to a different blend?

Re: reusable keurig filter
We just started doing this too, and there are always grinds in it! I like the kcups so much more, but they are sooo expensive! I will try packing it down more.

Re: reusable keurig filter
My bil googled something about this. I think he takes an older pod and pokes a hole in it and inserts that into the pod. It trickles slower so the flavor is enhanced. He throws it out after a few uses. So he still uses pods, but absolutely not as many.

Re: reusable keurig filter
Unless you are using a bold blend, you need to run it on the smaller cup option. Sometimes I run it through twice on a smaller cup with a bold coffee to get a larger cup of coffee.
