Is There a Way I Can Find Out the Gender...
without waiting til my 20 week sono?
I'm not talking about the "intelligender" or anything like that. Is it possible to ask at my nt scan if i can make a separate appt for like 16 weeks just for the gender and pay out of pocket?
Has anyone done that?

MY OB does a sono at every appointment. With dd he told me at 15 weeks

if i remember right i think those outside 3d/4d sono places have packages for gender and i think the earliest they do it is 16wks....i went to the one in east meadow, impact technologies i think it was called, but not for the gender and not at 16 wks, we went just to get the pictures and video of each of our dc when I was close to the end like 34/36wks or so...look into it I'm pretty sure they had that package

3D/4D places say can they can tell at 16 weeks. I have an appointment to do that at 17 weeks because DH and I couldn't wait for our 20 week sono either.

My doctor told me 20 weeks...I don't think I can wait either! I might have to go to one of those 3d/4d places!

I am a negative blood type so my dr did a blood test on me that checks the babys blood type. We were able to find out the gender through this test! Maybe ask about that? I took it at 15 weeks, results were in by the end of that week.

when I follow up with my nt scan the dr said she would tell me. DH is having trouble getting the morning off so I'm thinking of going to a private place to find out gender with him.

Most doctors will not tell you at 16 weeks. I also wouldn't trust a 3D/4D sono at 16 weeks.

i paid out of pocket and went on Monday at 17w 1d (my anatomy scan wasnt for another 3 weeks & i could not wait)

a lot of places will book you at 16 weeks. just make sure they check the gender in 2d, NOT 3/4D. more mistakes are made when done in 3/4D

Thanks everyone! I'm going to look into some places. My sister thinks it's dumb that I can't wait the extra 4 weeks I'll see what my Dr. thinks when I see him at week 14.

Both times I had sonograms at 16 weeks and both times I was told the sex of the baby and both times they were correct
