sono question
They had been doing internals until last week, but the peri had to switch to external because they couldn't see the babies with internal.
I have an OB apt. today. Do I leave my pants on, just underwear, undress from the waist down? Will they do an exam too? (11 weeks)

Re: sono question
at externals, you usually just unbutton your pants or pull them down a little. you need to expose your belly, up until the top of the underwear-line pretty much.
No need to actually take anything all the way off.
at my 11 week, they didn't actually do an exam, but they did use the dopler and let me hear the heartbeat

Re: sono question
Don't worry, when the nurse brings you to the exam room she should tell you whether you have to get undressed or not and will give you one of those awful paper sheets to cover up if you do have to get undressed. At my 12 week OB appt I didn't even have to get undressed.

Re: sono question
I haven't had to undress at all for external sonos. You just lower your pants a little so that your belly is exposed. No worries!

Re: sono question
OK, good. I just don't want to get undressed like an idiot when I don't need to.
