Kids bowl free all summer :-)

I just signed my boys up (they are 3). There's an alley in my area in NC, but it looks like there are allies country-wide that participate.
The children play 2 games per day from May 1 until September 1. (I think shoes are extra though).
If adults wish to play, there is a one-time fee of $24.95 for the whole summer.
Just thought I'd pass this along as a free/cheap option of giving the kiddies something fun to do!!

Love this program!!!! It's our 3rd summer doing it and DD loves it as much as the first time we did it.

Check AMF.com as well. they have this program and I noticed their lanes were not listed on the original link.
We did it last year and DS is now a bowling junkie!!

Yes, AMF has their own program. We sign up for AMF for the program because they have better bowling alleys closer to my home.

Last year no. Most of the time we just met up with friends during the day and the kids bowled while the mommies chatted! This year though I am thinking of it because DH and I lke to go with him sometimes without the baby at night, get a pizza at the bowling alley and its a nice night out so it might pay!
I think it would work the same way though and they would send you your "pass" via eamil weekly and you just bring that to the alley with you.

I'd love to buy my boys bowling shoes so I don't have to pay $4 for each of them everytime, but they have wide feet and can't find anything online!!

The bowling shoes add up at $4 a pop. Look on ebay for some used ones. I found a pair there for like $15 a while ago.
We did the AMF one last Summer, and went to the Commack location a lot. It is by far the best one around here IMO. They have music on for the kids, and are very friendly. We have also been to Smithtown, Oakdale, and Centereach, and they were fine, just not as much of a fun atmosphere.

Nope, the shoes are a money maker, and they make them in small sizes. I would say 2.5 or so, maybe younger. They have ramps

Ugh, that sucks and pretty much negates the "free" part! T
You almost want to buy them, except at this age they would outgrow them so quickly!
